A MESSAGE FROM MARRIED TO ADDICTION’S FOUNDER

I have been in your shoes and deeply understand how it feels

If you are a Christian wife of an alcoholic, I want you to know something right away—you are not alone.

I created this space for women who are trying to hold their families together while quietly falling apart inside.

My Journey as the Wife of an Alcoholic

Hey there, I’m Julie: A wife who married a good man that fell victim to addiction. And even though my husband has been sober for several years now, I still remember the hurt, anger, panic, and despair that his drinking caused like it was yesterday. It was the hardest time of my life.

What I Wish Someone Had Told Me

There are SO many things that I learned while walking this road with my husband, and while going through both his recovery and my own.

I know it feels so desperate to be where you are right now, but I want you to know that as the Christian wife of an alcoholic there IS something you can do….actually several things you can do….to get out from under these feelings of despair and moving in a much better direction, for both you AND your husband.

This is For the Woman Who Feels Like She’s Losing Herself

I started Married to Addiction to offer resources and programs that equip you with the tools and strength you need to navigate your husband’s addiction without losing yourself in the process.

Please spend some time here taking a look through the blog. I hope you find some helpful insight.

I invite you to also take a look at all of the different programs and resources that Married to Addiction offers to see if anything resonates with you.

And if you’re looking for real, structured support, the Secret Sisters Circle goes far beyond a chat group – it’s a full program of lessons, tools, and resources designed specifically for the Christian wife of an alcoholic, including a community of women who truly understand. Come find your home here. 💗

Here’s what other women are saying about Married to Addiction….

This was an incredible support needed more than I would have ever expected. Showing myself that I wasn’t alone in my struggle, how to allow space for myself and for my own healing and providing boundaries were all absolutely necessary and nothing I would have been able to find on my own.

I also thoroughly enjoyed the online access and presents provided. It allowed me to focus in the privacy and comfort of my own home/surroundings where/when I needed it most. I will never be 100% certain what or why my husband finally decided to take sobriety into his own hands, nor will I search for that answer but I will forever have peace knowing he has found it.

Thank you for all you have done to create such an incredible space in such an ugly phase of life.

I was so desperate for help, and to be able to “talk” with someone who understood what I was feeling and thinking. I found your podcasts and listened to all of those, and then accessed all the free items on the website before I finally joined (The Secret Sisters Circle).

I’m not sure how to thank you enough for your work. It helped me to understand what my husband was going through, it helped me work through my emotions in a Biblical way, taught me ways to change myself, and in turn it helped my husband.  In a way, the lessons validated my feelings, but at the same time taught me how to process everything in a healthy way. I felt heard and understood going through these lessons. They were a TREMENDOUS help, not only to me, but in turn towards my husband’s sobriety. I cannot say thank you enough!

I feel like I am living and truly starting to do things for me because I want to and because I can. I used to sit in fear and do nothing but worry. It was like I was frozen to the chaos of whatever my husband was choosing. I love my husband, he is a good man who suffers from addiction and when he’s sober I feel so free….and since finding (Married to Addiction) I can truly say even though he’s still drinking I am more free than ever. Thank you for all the support and for helping me not feel alone. I was so alone with my reality for far too long.
